Nor Pac Marine Surveyors & Consultants LLC is a full time independent marine survey and consultant company.
We offer “confidentiality” to our clients. We are NOT affiliated with yacht brokers, lending institutions, insurance companies or boatyards. We are hired by you, work for you and you only.
The company was established over 25 years ago. We have enjoyed seeing clients with the same boats for insurance purposes over the years. And it’s always exciting helping the ‘new’ boat owner when doing pre-purchase inspections (even though we’ve burst many bubbles after finding major deficiencies). As the old saying goes”there’s always another boat for sale”.
Our principal surveyor: Chuck Eich does full mechanical as well as hull surveys. He has extensive background in the marine industry. He owned and operated Grays Harbor Marine in the mid 1970’s; a Catepillar marine dealership and USCG certified welding
and fabrication shop next to Westport Yachts. He performed marine reconstruction for commercial and passenger vessels, engine beds, masts all types of rigging. He also managed scheduling and maintenance for the USCG fleet and charter boats. When the
fishing industry declined he worked for Crowley Tugs as a marine engineer rebuilding engines from 4 cylinder to V-20 additionally service and repair on marine electrical, steering, plumbing and hydraulic controls; based out of Seattle and Prudoe Bay AK.
Later went to work as shop foreman for large companies in the area organizing maintenance and repairs on large trucks and heavy equipment; to the most recent years managing Diesel and gas marine engine repair; including transmissions, electrical etc
from pleasure type to fishing vessels. He is a lifetime boater and presently own a 65’ Hatteras sport fisher and very active in the
boating community and member of Yacht clubs. He is a current member of ACMS, ABYC and NFPA.
Carol Robinson: Chuck’s other half . The two execute a ‘team’ system on surveys. Our clients get ‘four’ eyes instead of two. Carol has extensive knowledge in the repair business. She owns a family business established in 1970 in the heavy equipment, truck
and marine repair. She worked hand in hand with her father until his passing.Carol is a very avid boater and Past Commodore of two yacht clubs. Current member of ACMS, NFPA, ABYC.
Capt. Jon Robinson: The rest of our boating family.
